About

This blog is to record the process of changing my life for the better. I have been inspired by the concept of minimalism and living a happy and healthy life by a blog by Leo Babauta named zenhabits. You should definitely check out his blog if you've found mine even remotely interesting. While the main reason I decided to start this blog was to chronicle my journey, I also hope inspire others to live their lives on their own terms. I'm sure I will make many mistakes since that seems to be the best way that I learn, but maybe through sharing these missteps I can help others to not repeat them on their own paths.

For me, minimalism isn't about being an ascetic or doing without those "things" that make one happy. It is about focusing on what makes me happy - usually not physical things at all - and clearing away everything else that distracts from them. Removing life waste is not only about removing physical clutter and distractions so they no longer are a burden, but it is also about leaving behind emotional and mental baggage - the things that stress me out or make me discontented with life. I'll leave you with a one of my favorite minimalism inspired quotes to start a new chapter of life.

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.”
